Looking respectable !! On a side note: I was very disappointed reading a negative Unilocal review from a person who didn’t even use their services. I plan on returning in a few weeks to maintain my new look. I trusted their judgment and told them to go for it. Danny and another barber (with styling experience) looked at me and gave me their opinions. I don’t get haircuts to often so I didn’t know what I even wanted. Danny was my barber and did an amazing job. I walked in and was greeted immediately by multiple barbers. I don’t usually ask about the beard because of a bad experience, but he nailed it. Kevin did a fantastic job cleaning me up and even trimmed up my beard. I didn’t have to wait long (I was early) and before I knew it I was discussing what cut I wanted with Kevin. Four or so large screen TV’s to keep you entertained and I was even offered something to drink while I waited. There are plenty of comfortable chairs in the waiting area. I called and asked if they had time for a walk-in, but they were booked for the rest of he evening (Friday), so I made an appointment for Saturday afternoon. I almost gave up, until I expanded the search a bit to include south Corona. From what I could glean the barbers were either «fantastic» and «they were sometimes there, despite the posted hours» or «they were terrible» and «they were open for walk ins». Many of the barbers that I found had 50⁄ 50 reviews and they were all very inconsistent.
So I searched through the web/Yelp to find a new one. However, they’re in Orange County and a bit out of the way for me. I love my previous barber and still think they are top notch. As normal when you move to a new city/town you realize quick that all the places you were aquatinted with visiting for various services are no longer as close as they once were. Was hoping to find someplace local to my house, Crown and Stache just isnt that place.I do have to say if I had a kid who was scared of getting a haircut, I probably would spend the extra and take them here for the first couple.I moved my family out to (Riverside County) about two years ago. Add to that she only charges $10 for any time of haircut I request (buzz or otherwise). Add to that most of the conversation heard during my time was about how little the barbers made at other shops.Ill be going back to a shop thats local to my work as I always feel like a valued/appreciated customer there and the barbers attention to detail is great and she does a better job than I received at Crown and Stache. However I was charged $40 which is the price for a haircut/beard trim (although I got a 0 fade up buzz cut). The overall haircut/beard trim was good.The bad: I went for a buzz cut and beard trim which according to the site should have cost $30, which although on the high side for me was an average price for the type of barber shop it is. The good: The shop is in a nice location and the waiting area is comfortable. It has no pulse, the quality of the cut is low, and the ethics (or bad humor) of the cosmetologists is highly questionable.

Seriously - from a man-cave serious barber shop, with beer and movies to whatever this place is. My mustache is CROOKED (its noticeably shorter on the right than the left - by about 1/8) and there are several nicks.The girls were obviously enjoying themselves - laughing about how they got to take over the TVs and watch what they wanted joking about how since my family was going out of town on Christmas, they knew which house to break into. FIVE hot towels - why? Its nowhere near as close as I typically get (literally, its 2 days into where I get it). To shave my head and my beard takes me about 30 minutes. Rather than the typical movies or sports, the cosmetologists (you read that right) had taken over the TVs (their words) and put up Disney+ - but not the cool D+, they were watching 30 year old documentaries about Imaginarium (Epcot Center - seriously).OK, my turn to get into the chair (about 10 minutes late) with the owner. Definitely not the C&S we were expecting.
We took an evening to go and get me out of the house (just had knee surgery - was a bit cabin fevered) and get a nice shave, so C&S it is.We walked in - all the decor was the same, but the atmosphere was. What Happened to Crown and Stache? Ive been going on and off for years - going back to when they were in the Tyler Mall.
